Abstract: 

The safety and efficacy of the developed drug delivery system or biomedical device are of supreme importance. At the BioInnovation research group, we evaluate the biocompatibility of medical devices by cytotoxicity, hemolysis, and in vitro biodegradation. For animal trials, we uphold the highest standards of ethical and humane care for the animals used. Some of our developed animal models are infected wounds, diabetic wounds, psoriasis, eye infections, and dry eye, among others.
