”We desire and enable simple healthcare solutions to address clinical challenges for the improvement of human health and well-being.”

BioInnovation Research Group

In the BioInnovation Research Group, we work to resolve different clinical challenges, such as chronic wounds, smart drug delivery systems, antimicrobial resistance, skin regeneration, etc. We work extensively with various polymers and/or ceramics to form macro-micro-nanoscale structures with varied functional properties. We develop and modify such structures to address different clinical needs, from hemostasis to antibacterial resistance, from controlled drug delivery to skin regeneration. We also work with computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to understand different hemodynamic behaviors for the diagnosis and prognosis of cardiovascular and neural diseases and disorders.
